Matthew Slade, Vice President, Rail Operations, at EllisDon Infrastructure Services & Technology, has more than 25 years experience in managing the delivery of complex transit projects in Europe and Canada. He has experience working for designers, contractors, consultants, clients, operators and maintainers.
In Canada Matthew has worked on the Ottawa LRT project, initially as the Systems Director, responsible for the Testing & Commissioning and later as the Project Director at the time the system went into service. Since then, he has provided strategic technical support to the maintenance organization and is an alternate board member for Rideau Transit Maintenance.
Matthew was involved with the Ottawa Light Rail Transit Public Inquiry from the outset, compiling information as evidence and was an active participant during the hearing as a key witness.
Matthew is also an alternate board member for the maintenance organizations for the Edmonton Valley Line LRT and the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.
