Tim Murphy has served as Managing Partner and CEO of McMillan LLP since January 2022, after serving 6 years on the firm’s Executive Committee. He is also a Managing Director of McMillan Vantage Policy Group, an innovative government relations and communications affiliate of the firm. He is a recognized leader in public-private partnerships and in project financing major infrastructure assets across Canada and was previously a litigator. He is author of the leading text “Public-Private Partnerships in Canada: Law, Policy and Value for Money”, the author/editor of the textbook “Construction Law in Canada” and an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. Tim was previously Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister of Canada and Canada’s Finance Minister, as well as an elected member of the Ontario Legislature. He is currently Chair of the board of the public agency building the Gordie Howe Bridge in Detroit and Windsor. He serves on the Board of Directors of Morguard REIT, one of Canada’s leading real estate companies and was Chair of the Board of the Toronto Community Housing Corporation, the City’s housing agency with more than 111,000 tenants. He has a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School.
